Manipulations (Adjustments)
Manipulations, also known as adjustments, are a gentle, safe, effective means of removing vertebral misalignment and malpositioning with low force therapy tables done with the hands of a chiropractic physician. By removing vertebral misalignment, this decreases nerve root irritation and pinching, thus allowing a decrease in muscle spasms, since most muscle spasms are due to irritated nerves. A chiropractic physician is the most effective in treating neck, back, or any other types of joint pain entities not mentioned here.
Mechanical Traction
Motorized intermittent traction places a gentle stretch on the spine to separate the vertebrae and relieve direct nerve pressure. It also takes the stress off the discs between the vertebrae. This stretching effect of the disc creates a suction and lets the disc absorb more blood and healing nutrients, thus allowing it to heal more quickly. Traction is most often used on the neck and low back.
Cervical Traction
This is a special form of traction for herniated, bulging or swollen discs. It is utilized in the lumbar and cervical regions primarily since this is where most disc conditions such as herniations or bulges occur. It is extremely safe and effective, depending on the individual's severity, the recommended number of treatments vary but generally range from 18 to 25.

Muscle Stimulation
This modality uses a form of gentle, safe electrical stimulation to muscles that are tight, spasmatic and painful. This stimulation causes the muscle to twitch slightly during treatment, but causes the muscle to be relaxed by the end of treatment. By relaxing the muscles adjacent to the spine, the vertebrae are allowed to move more freely thus helping to relieve pain and nerve irritation, therefore allowing the vertebrae to hold in a more natural position. It provides fifteen physiological health improvement functions, ie. increased oxygen and circulation and decreased swelling, to mention a few.
Ultrasound/Autosound
This modality uses sound waves at high frequency to aid in the healing process and may be done by hand or strapped on automatically. Specifically, its effects are to generate deep tissue heat, relieve swelling, break up areas of toxic waste product accumulation ie. lactic acid, and relieve pain with deep micromassaging vibration. The combined effect of all these actions is to relieve pain and promote rapid healing. It also provides multiple physiological health improvement functions.
Therapeutic Rehabilitation
Therapeutic Rehabilitation are exercises performed wherein the patient warms up with a treadmill or exercise bike and uses large rubber bands in specific guided planes of direction for particular muscles affecting certain joints. In doing so, the muscles which move the joints become strengthened, toned, stabilized, and balanced over time. In turn, this improves the range of motion, endurance and strength, all working toward improving and restoring health.

Diathermy
Diathermy is used to create deep tissue heat over a larger area than is possible with ultrasound. Diathermy aids in healing by increasing blood flow to the affected area, promoting phaqocytosis white blood cell action. It is especially good for the treatment of many forms of sinusitis, inner ear infection, bronchitis, asthma, and arthritis.
